Competition Rules

1. The competition is open to everyone but you must select one of the following categories. 

A. Under 5's (Pre-school)
B. 6-12 years (Junior)
C. 12-18 years (Intermediate)
D. Over 18's (Senior)

2. Only one application/submission per person
3. Artwork should be artist's original work and not based on pre-existing design and it must not infringe on any copyright laws.
4. Designs should be relevant to Drumshanbo and incorporate one or more design ele¬ments such as the picturesque town itself, the many festivals etc.
5. Entries should not contain any text other than the word 'Drumshanbo'. Please do not put your name on the same side of the original artwork, for judging purposes.
6. Logo design and scale are very important, please remember the logo will be used in various media and different applications will apply so the logo should be easily distin¬guishable when used in a small format (i.e 1 inch x 1 inch).
7. By entering the Drumshanbo Logo Competition all entries submitted become the prop¬erty and copyright of DEF. If original artwork is sent, a copy should be retained by you as artwork will not be returned.
8. DEF reserves the right to have all winning designs further developed. Additionally this will allow us to formulate a style guide and versions specific to various media formats.
9. Entries can be forwarded by email in jpeg or pdf format to mckiernan@leitrimobservor.ie  you can also enter via the DEF website by following the links on www.drumshanboforum.com. Don't foget to include your name, address, category along with email and contact phone number.

10. Judging will be done by selected DEF Committee members. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The winner of each category and runners-up and overall winners, will be announced at a special high profile event to be held on November 14 at the Ramada Lough Allen Hotel and Spa, Drumshanbo.
12. Deadline and cut off date for entries is Friday 14th November 2008. Any entries received after this date will not be entered into the competition
